A growing family in Centereach loved their neighborhood and the school district their kids were in, so they decided a home extension was the best solution as opposed to moving. What was once a one car, free standing garage was demolished and the concrete patio beneath it was removed. The wall between the home and garage was stripped in preparation of the home extension. We poured the retaining walls and foundation and then laid the floor beams. As the work was well underway the homeowners requested vaulted ceilings in their entrance way. The plans were already drawn, and had not included this addition, but we worked to accommodate this new request and fit it into our pre-existing plans. We matched the roof above the vaulted ceiling with the pitch of the existing roof for a cohesive finish. This 850 sq ft extension included a master bedroom and closet.
